Match Information for Opposition Teams

IMPORTANT: Please note that there may be restrictions in place during 2021, as well as potential changes to the below, because of Covid. As the situation is fluid, we will inform visiting teams about the latest protocols in the week of the game.

All games are played at the Northern Gateway Sports Park - see our Contact page for a map.

To confirm games, use the following contacts:

If you cannot get hold of the team contact, please try one of the others.

Eastern Rhinos play in Royal Blue; please advise in good time in the event of a clash. Changing rooms will be available to players an hour before kick-off with food and the bar available after the game.

Please note that we must be informed of a call-off no later than 9.00pm on the Thursday before a game. If we hear any later, we will be charged for the pitch (£85) and for the cost of food (£85) and we will recover those costs from the club calling off. Please make sure you speak to one of the contacts above if you want to call off a game - do not rely on leaving a message or sending an e-mail!

Footwear
Please see the image above for a guide to what is and isn't allowed in terms of boots on the 3G surface. Players in the wrong footwear may be asked to leave the pitch by the facility manager and this is not something that Eastern Rhinos have authority over.

Parking regs
There is plenty of free car parking space but all vehicles must be registered at the Sports Centre reception.

Refreshments
The cafe and club house will be open on match days for drinks and confectionery.

Spectator facilities
The pitch is barriered off. Please ensure all spectators remain behind the barrier. Failure to observe this rule may result in removal from the premises. There will be a technical area for coaching staff and interchange players beyond the barrier.

We encourage all spectators to support their team with loud words of positive encouragement, but please always remember the RFL's Respect Policy On Pitch-Side Behaviour.

Medical cover
Whilst all visiting teams should provide their own physio, Eastern Rhinos will provide first-aid cover at home games.

Post-match reception
Following the game, players' meals will be served in the club house. All players and supporters are welcome in the bar after the game. Any post-match presentations will be held in the club house and we invite our visitors to join in and make any presentations of their own at this time.

Special requirements
If any visiting side has players or spectators with special requirements - for example access or dietary - please let us know so we can make any arrangements we can to make their visit to the Eastern Rhinos as enjoyable as possible.
